Proteus: A Nineteenth Century Vision
The animated documentary Proteus explores the nineteenth century’s engagement with the undersea world through science, technology, painting, poetry and myth. The central figure of the film is biologist and artist Ernst Haeckel, who found in the depths of the sea an ecstatic and visionary fusion of science and art.
KissAnime Review:
Proteus: A Nineteenth Century Vision – one of the best animation animes, I ever seen. It is my favorite documentary anime because parts felt very similar to my life experience. I was so emotionally destroyed that I saw the entire anime three times on the internet almost in one go.
There are some stages in this anime that I will remember them until death. I never expected anything from this animated before and I blew my mind. An anime highly valued for me.
The soundtrack, the atmosphere and the characters. The fact it still holds up so well is a testament to what a work of art it is. I chose to load this wonderful anime in KissAnime you can now watch anime online free.
